Welcome!
The Safe Sport+ Lab is based at the Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Education at the University of Toronto. We integrate perspectives from psychology and sociology and use a rights-based approach to address issues of safety, violence, abuse (sexual, physical, psychological), neglect, discrimination, bullying, and harassment in sport and dance environments.
Mission and Vision
Our mission is to advance and promote safe, healthy, equitable, and joyful sport and dance environments through research, innovation, advocacy, education, and collaboration.
Our vision is to contribute to the creation of sport and physical activity environments that are safe, equitable, inclusive and that advance health, well-being, and positive development in a research informed manner.
